How To Inventory Photos and Memorabilia

You will need:
- Photo-safe pencil/pen
- Ziploc bags

1. Select which photos you want to include in your album so that they can be organized into smaller groups.

2. Separate the photos into groups using any of the following criteria: subject, person(s) in photos, dates, events, etc.

3. For each group of photos select a subject name & write that name (e.g. Christmas, 2005) on the outside of a Ziploc bag.

4. Using a photo-safe pen/pencil, number the photos on the back.

5. Write the Subject Name of your photo group, list the photo numbers, and write a short description on the photo inventory sheet provided.

6. Follow the same procedure for each group until all photos are inventoried.

7. If you are including any keepsakes, record them in the provided Memorabilia Inventory sheet and list the group number of the photos that you feel it works with the best.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a premade page?
It is a predesigned scrapbook page you can purchase. All you have to do is add your photos and/or journaling in the spaces and boxes of each page. Your photos may need to be trimmed to fit into some photo mats or boxes.

What are embellishments?
Embellishments are design elements added to a page. It can be something like a flower or chipboard piece.

How do you calculate shipping?
Shipping can be calculated by weight of your purchase. For custom albums, the final shipping cost can be determined after the album is finished. I can provide and estimated price. Flat Rate postage can also be applied to premade scrapbooks or small/mini albums that fit in a flat rate box.

Can I see my pages before the scrapbook is competed?
Yes! I can either take photos or scan pages and email them to you so you can see the progress of your scrapbook.

I have photos without negatives but I do not want to send them to you.
You can have your photos scanned onto a CD and send the photos to me to scrapbook. For an additional charge, I will have these photos developed at a photo lab. Another option would be for you to use an online photolab (like shutterfly or kodakgallery, etc.) and have your photos sent to me. Note, the quality of your photos will be affected, due to scanning.

I do not live near Bothell, Washington. Can I still schedule a free consultation?
Absolutely! Consultations can be done via email. In the course of creating your scrapbook, I will be in frequent contact with you to be sure that the pages are looking to your satisfaction.
